IVF: Masses of Cells

Thats what we see just before the transfer.

Probably hard to make out but the main group of cells is on the left hand image at about 2 o’clock.

This is where the egg is starting to hatch from the faint image connected on the RHS.

This is what it would look like directly under a mircroscope this one is a reverse of ours. But you can see the detail of cells.

And for those of you who are really interested this is a Quicktime of the egg hatching.

All different second time round. We are far less anxious about it all. Just going about life and waiting till the 14th for the results. Everyone who was there was commenting that it looked to be a strong one and well developed so hopefully he can fight hard over the next 10 days.

The funniest thing this time round was that lady who was doing the transfer was dressed in red with very red ( no doubt dyed) hair and she introduced herself as Myfanwy so for the next 10 minutes I had to stop myself from asking her for a Bacardi & Coke.

We then had the pleasure of getting out and hearing some top tunes from Robbie Lowe who came up to play in Newcastle. So bean had some melodic prog to help him nestle in.
